Just used this company today, on time, excellent service, excellent value, very friendly, knowledgeable, fast and would honestly use them again and again. Thank you so much for getting my door open, replacing the lock, and fixing the mess I made, without charging me a fortune.

Great Service. My front door was jammed, and it didn't look good. Called them and 30 minutes later there was a friendly locksmith attending the lock. He couldn't figure it out either so he went on Facetime and the entire crew had a look at the lock. In the end they all decided that they have to come back with a tool and grind the bolt through. I was fearing the worst for the door. A wooden door and a grinder don't go well together. The person that came was an artist and did what had to be done swift & precisely. Instead of installing a brand new lock he now just exchanged the part that was broken. All I was charged was $140 for something that could have easily blown out to $300. Very happy with their friendly, professional service. Loved that instead of stuffing around other opinions were called in to come up with the best solution.

This place came recommended from Chapman's Auto Repairs in Cooroy - which is already a huge vote of confidence. I came to C&H Locksmiths with a car-key problem and they were incredibly helpful. I was in & out within 15 minutes - they diagnosed the problem and even though it wasn't common they were able to provide a quick and easy solution at a VERY reasonable price. Would highly recommend - great service and knowledge.

Locksmiths offer a range of services tailored to security and lock-related needs. These include lock installation, repair, and replacement for residential, commercial, and automotive purposes. Many locksmiths also handle key duplication, rekeying services, and the creation of master key systems for businesses. Additionally, modern locksmiths often work with electronic security solutions like digital locks, access control systems, and CCTV installations. Emergency services are also commonly provided, such as assisting with lockouts or addressing security breaches.
If you’re locked out, locksmiths use specialised tools and techniques to regain access without damaging the lock. For homes, this might involve lock-picking or bypassing methods. For vehicles, locksmiths often use non-invasive tools to open the door, even for modern cars with complex locking mechanisms. In cases where a lock cannot be bypassed, the locksmith may need to replace the lock entirely. Many locksmiths also offer mobile services to quickly reach clients during emergencies.
Rekeying is a process where a locksmith changes a lock's internal workings to work with a new key, rendering the old key useless. This is a cost-effective way to secure a property without replacing the locks entirely. Rekeying is recommended if you’ve moved into a new property, lost your keys, experienced a break-in, or want to prevent former tenants, employees, or roommates from accessing the premises.
A master key system allows different levels of access within a property using a single key. For example, employees may have keys that only open certain areas, while management can access all parts of the building with a master key. This system enhances security by restricting access to sensitive areas and reducing the need for multiple keys. It is particularly useful for hotels, offices, and other businesses with multi-level access requirements.
Locksmiths specialising in electronic or smart locks are trained to install and maintain these systems effectively. They ensure proper integration with existing security setups and program access codes and guide managing the system securely. Additionally, locksmiths can troubleshoot issues such as malfunctioning locks or compromised access. They recommend regular software updates and strong access credentials for added security to minimise hacking risks.
Yes, locksmiths can create a new key even if the original is lost. For traditional locks, they can disassemble the lock and use its internal components to craft a new key. Locksmiths can program a replacement key for vehicles with transponder keys by accessing the vehicle’s onboard computer system. Modern locksmiths are equipped to handle various key types, including high-security and electronic keys.
Installing a safe involves selecting the appropriate type based on your security needs, such as fireproof, waterproof, or burglary-resistant models. Locksmiths assess the best location for the safe, ensuring it is concealed yet accessible. The installation may involve bolting the safe to the floor or wall for enhanced security. Locksmiths also guide safe usage, including setting combinations or codes and maintaining the locking mechanism.
Yes, locksmiths play a crucial role in enhancing business security. They can perform a security assessment to identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions such as high-security locks, keyless entry systems, and surveillance cameras. Locksmiths also install access control systems, which allow businesses to monitor and restrict entry to sensitive areas. Regular maintenance and updates from a locksmith ensure the long-term effectiveness of these security measures.
